The modern, central management of production, in line with the constantly controlled flow of water, controls the operation of the power plants, thereby ensuring reliable and optimal operation. While considering the rules of operation, energy requirements and flows, the control centre ensures the optimal utilisation of the water energy potential of the Drava in Slovenia, plans possible production and adjusts the operations to the changeable water conditions. The control centre of Dravske elektrarne Maribor coordinates the production and flow with HSE and the control centres of Austrian and Croatian power plants on the Drava. In order to connect with power plants and partners in the power system, Dravske elektrarne Maribor has its own telecommunication network of excellent capacity.
