The Kozjak Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant (PSPP Kozjak) has been included on the European Commission’s list of Projects of Common Interest (PCI), recognising its strategic importance for Europe’s energy security, system flexibility and the green transition.
PCI status confirms the project’s key role in supporting the integration of renewable energy sources and strengthening the resilience of the power system in Slovenia and the wider region. It also enables streamlined development procedures and access to European support mechanisms.
