Dravske Elektrarne Maribor chosen for the second time as the best company in the town Maribor (Maribor, 29 Januar 2007) - Dravske Elektrarne Maribor (DEM) were (after the year 2004) chosen for the second time as the best company in the town Maribor. The prize is awarded every year by the magazine Mariborčan, the selection of prize winners is made by ballot of Maribor residents (general public and journalists). The company DEM is entitled to this award in journalists’ opinion for successful work in the year 2006.
A statuette was accepted at the celebratory presentation by the director of Dravske elektrarne Maribor, Damijan Koletnik, who took this opportunity to give his thanks for the award and highlighted that it belonged to all employees in the company because they had earned it with their work. His opinion was that in front of Dravske Elektrarne Maribor were new episodes that would be dictated by the bigger burdening of society and more liberalized and at the same time open energy market. “In common is the goal of maximisation of additional value in conjunction with management of the national wealth. Because DEM also represents an important basis of the economic development of the town Maribor and the wider region, the responsibility of the company and of all the employees for further development will be even greater in the future,” added Koletnik.
