A new control centre for HSE and DEM
(Maribor, 11th April 2007) – In Maribor took place today an official opening of new control centres of HSE and DEM for the whole group Holding Slovenske Elektrarne (HSE) and Dravske Elektrarne Maribor (DEM). Opening of new centres means one of the most important events in Slovenian electro economy, on the today’s solemnity it was symbolically official handed over into operation by mag. Andrej Vizjak, minister for economy, dr. Žiga Turk, minister for development, dr. Jože Zagožen, General Direktor HSE, in Damijan Koletnik, Managing Director DEM.
Dravske Elektrarne Maribor also successful under new management
In spite of the ever greater liberalisation of the energy market, DEM would like a more active role in managing the national wealth and in strengthening the role of bearer of economic development.
Dravske Elektrarne Maribor chosen for the second time as the best company in the town Maribor
(Maribor, 29 Januar 2007) - Dravske Elektrarne Maribor (DEM) were (after the year 2004) chosen for the second time as the best company in the town Maribor. The prize is awarded every year by the magazine Mariborčan, the selection of prize winners is made by ballot of Maribor residents (general public and journalists). The company DEM is entitled to this award in journalists’ opinion for successful work in the year 2006.
Dravske elektrarne Maribor going into second half of the year with excellent results
(Maribor, 26 July 2006) - The company Dravske elektrarne Maribor (DEM), the largest hydro power company in Slovenia, which manages a total of eight hydro power plants (Dravograd, Vuzenica, Vuhred, Ožbalt, Fala, Mariborski otok, Zlatoličje and Formin), including small hydroelectric power plants, with one located on the river Mura in Ceršak, has been seeing an improvement in its financial performance since 2002.
The Drava River is the new challenge for Martin Strel
(Maribor, 8 June 2006) Professional swimmer Martin Strel, world record holder in stage and continuous swimming, today presented his latest swimming challenge Drava 2006 to the media and his partners at an official press conference. The presentation was held at Dravske elektrarne Maribor (DEM), who will act as the principal sponsor for the swimmer’s latest challenge.
